Imagine unpacking veggies from your local farm and dreaming up dinners every week.
One week, an old favorite recipe gets a whole new life with some super sweet carrots. The next, you try hakurei salad turnips for the first time and discover you're obsessed (just like your farmer said you'd be!).
That's what we love about CSA: the familiar favorites, the new discoveries, and the way a box of fresh vegetables can transform your cooking.

We’d love to be your farmers
Our members are the backbone of our farm. So when we started Sweet Season Farm, we made a promise: Our CSA members would be our top priority.
Here’s what that means for you:
We grow for flavor, so you get gorgeous carrots, greens, tomatoes, and more that taste as good as they look.
We carefully wash your vegetables, so you can spend less time scrubbing and more time cooking.
We harvest fresh and handle everything with care, so your vegetables last longer in the fridge and you have time to enjoy them.
What’s in a box?
Our CSA runs the full course of Minnesota’s growing season, from fresh spring flavors in mid-June through hearty fall staples in September.
-
In June, we grow early crops like radishes, carrots, beets, lettuce mix, romaine lettuce, arugula, broccolini, bok choy, kohlrabi, kale, chard, hakurei turnips, spinach, snap peas, green onions (scallions), pea shoots.
-
Most of our spring crops linger into July, but peak summer veggies also come on this time of year. Think tomatoes, watermelon, garlic, onions, zucchini, potatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, and green beans.
-
In the fall, some of our cool-season spring crops come back online.
However, this time of year, they’re also joined by the deep flavors. of hearty fall crops like peppers, leeks, shallots, butternut squash, delicata squash, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, celery, winter radishes, turnips, and brussels sprouts.

Grown with care by your new local farmers
We're Ethan and Carly.
In September 2026, we moved to Hutchinson and became the proud new owners of this beautiful farm.
For nearly 20 years, this land has been home to CSA farms: most recently, Loon Organics Farm.
We're excited to carry on that legacy as Sweet Season Farm.
We can't wait to welcome you into the next chapter!

Frequently asked questions
-
Enrollment opens December 1! Our lowest prices of the season will be available through December 15.
Join our CSA waitlist, and we'll send you a reminder as soon as enrollment opens!
-
Most of our first-time CSA members start with the every-other-week share!
It's a great way to ease into CSA, try cooking with the seasons, and get a feel for how a box of fresh veggies fits into your summer routine.
-
If you're considering our every-other-week CSA but aren't sure you can eat a whole box in one week, here's something to keep in mind: You don't have to!
Each box contains a mix of vegetables you'll want to eat right away and others that can last well into the second week.
For example, cucumbers and zucchini are best eaten fairly quickly, but our salad mix lasts 10+ days, and properly stored carrots, onions, and potatoes can last for months!
We'll show you what to eat first and what can wait, so you can enjoy your veggies over the full two weeks.
And if that's still more than your household needs, you're always welcome to split a share with a friend!
-
Absolutely! Sharing a CSA is a great option for smaller households.
You'll just need one person in charge of the account, or you'll need to share your login to coordinate swaps, skips, and pickups.
-
Our CSA is a farmer's-choice box, representing what's fresh and in season on the farm.
We offer a limited number of vegetable swaps each week, but not every item can be swapped.
If your household has highly restrictive dietary needs, our CSA might not be the best fit. We want to make sure you're bringing home vegetables you can actually enjoy!
-
Summer gets busy. We get it!
You can skip any scheduled box by the Tuesday before your pickup. Each membership includes one skip with $45 in store credit to use on extra vegetables later in the season.
Need to skip more than once? No problem! We'll donate an equivalent value of produce to the McLeod County Emergency Food Shelf for any additional skipped boxes.
You're also welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up your box!
-
Yes. Your payment reserves your spot for the season and helps us purchase the seeds, supplies, and other things we need to grow your vegetables.
If paying upfront isn't possible for you, please reach out. We're happy to see if we can work something out!
-
Not ready for a full-season commitment? We get it!
If we have availability, we'll offer a limited number of one-time CSA boxes for purchase a la carte throughout the growing season.
CSA members get the best per-box price, a reserved spot in our harvest, and access to all the membership perks!
